Lets be thankful for the creativity of cooks and chefs everywhere on this Thanksgiving day.  We are trying three new desserts today.

 

Brûléed Bourbon-Maple Pumpkin Pie

The appearance and ingredients got our attention. This chocolate and pumpkin mashup is surprising yet delicious. It’s so good that you don’t have to brûlée the top, though that effect surely makes the pie a showstopper. Can’t wait to get some of this pie.

One of the two recipes we are trying from Smitten Kitchen.  This just had all the ingredients that said yes, yes, yes.  The process for making the pie dough was different than any other method we had tried before but it worked.

Another decadent pie from Smitten Kitchen.  No it does not come with a gym membership.  Oats is a new twist on a pie so it will be interesting to see how the textures all blend together on this one.  The ingredients speak for themselves and are pure sweet bliss.
