Tomatoes With Stuffing

Ingredients |
6 medium size tomatoes. 1 ½ cups bread crumbs. 2 tablespoons chopped onion. 2 tablespoons chopped celery. 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper. 2 tablespoons butter. ¾ teaspoon salt. ¼ teaspoon pepper |
Instructions | Wipe off tomatoes. Cut out centre and sprinkle lightly with salt. Leave to stand 10 minutes. Turn out excess moisture. Combine other ingredients and pack into cavities in tomatoes. Bake at 400 degrees F. in a greased casserole for 15 minutes. Serve hot. |
