Orange Nut Bread

Ingredients |
3 cups pastry flour. 4 teaspoons baking powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 cup sugar. 2 tablespoons grated orange rind. 1 cup finely-chopped nuts. 2 eggs, well beaten. 1 cup milk. 3 tablespoons butter, melted. |
Instructions | Mix and sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add orange rind and nuts. Combine well-beaten eggs and milk. Add to flour mixture and mix together until smooth. Add cooled melted butter. Do not overheat mixture. Turn into buttered loaf pan ( 8 x 4 x 3 inches). Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour or longer. |
